Q. What book (or books) have you gifted the most, and why? Or what are one to three books that have greatly influenced your life?

The Gift of Imperfection by Brené Brown. I love what Brené teaches about being “real,” authentic and vulnerable. Being imperfect is a true gift! The gifts are for me and for me to share with others.

The other is The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz. I love these four simple, and not always easy to do, agreements:

  1. Be impeccable with your words

  2. Don’t take anything personally

  3. Don’t make assumptions

  4. Always do your best

These have been life-changing and a little bit magical in transforming how I view and live life. Imagine what life could be using these principles navigate within business and life.

Q. What is an unusual habit or absurd thing that you love?

I love to DREAM and IMAGINE! I think about what life would be like if… and then play with the ideas and dreams. I have an amazing imagination! Sometimes dreams don’t come true. 😊

Q. In the last five to ten years, what have you become better at saying "no" to (distractions, invitations, etc)? What new realization and/or approaches helped?

In the last five years or so, I have developed and embraced a new belief around being a creator in and of my life. I no longer feel the need to be a “people pleaser.” I trust myself and value myself in being a kind, loving and brilliant woman who loves to serve, coach and teach others to be aware of their own loving and brilliant selves, and help them create a life they love. I believe in myself enough to know how to focus on and stay in my own lane using my gifts, talents and knowledge to create a home and business life that I love.

Q. When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?

1. Breathe deep. Take a moment to feel my breath, body and mind relax. I take three nice, long and relaxed breaths into my belly, shoulders and jaw. I think and feel loving, grace-filled, allowing thoughts. Exhale with a nice and relaxed sigh. Smile and imagine connecting that feeling of love and light through my body and then outward into the room and out into the world. “ahhh!”

2. Move my body. Walking is good for me, or I just do a physical task like changing laundry, vacuum, water plants, pull weeds, etc. A 15-minute break with movement is great!

3. Questions I ask myself are what does my body need? Food, H2O, movement, a nap, breathing? What is the thought that is making me overwhelmed? Is this true?
